Our response to COVID-19

We understand the economic hardship that the coronavirus has had on families and businesses. The outbreak and effects of COVID-19 can be overwhelming. Please do everything you can do to stay safe – stay at home as much as possible, wash your hands, keep appropriate physical distances, wear a face covering when you are outside (per the CDC’s guidance), and don’t be socially isolated – reach out to friends and family via phone, email, or social media platforms (not physically) – this is a time when we need to give and receive support from and to others (our mental and emotional health depends on that – we are structured to need social interaction).

We understand the economic hardship that the coronavirus has had on families and businesses. The outbreak and effects of COVID-19 can be overwhelming.

After reviewing the current situation, we have decided not to charge late fees for the months of April and May 2020, although rent is still due on the first of each month. We strongly suggest you contact your Account Manager about requesting a delay in your rent payment if needed. Your Account Manager is equipped to help you during this difficult time and guide you through the process.

We are aware some families may be financially impacted by layoffs, reduced working hours, or medical situations. We are requesting these residents to provide documentation showing proof of hardship. This could include a layoff letter, hospital documents, or paystubs. Please contact an Account Manager (757-814-2347, accountmanager@fmco.biz) to provide this documentation.

If you need temporary assistance, we’ve gathered some resources for you that you can find at the end of this message.

We are also accepting partial payments to avoid large balances accruing which may become difficult to pay later. We strongly encourage residents to make any payment possible.

We’ve made a dropbox available at Denbigh Mobile Home Park for your use during this time at 161 Rodeo Circle, Newport News, VA 23608.

Remember that many features are always available online through our Tenant Web Access (TWA) portal. You can log in online to:

  • Review your balance
  • Make a payment
  • Update your contact information

Please see the end of this message for more about TWA.

We will continue adding updates to our website at www.fmco.biz and alerting residents of important updates by email and text message. If you haven’t already, please call our office (757-875-2392) to sign up for email alerts and text START to 757-330-4739 to sign up for text message alerts.

Residents should also be following their local authorities’ suggestions on social distancing. We’re currently abiding by the government guidelines to close our offices and common areas, like playgrounds, until further notice.

We want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to support our residents in this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at 757-875-2392.
